Changing lives together, one donation at a time.

As part of the global biopharmaceutical company, Takeda, BioLife Plasma Services offers one of the largest and most innovative plasma donation services in the world.

The plasma donated at BioLife is used by Takeda to make more than 20 different types of medicine for people with a variety of rare conditions. For some, these medicines are their only treatment option. Because plasma can’t be made in a lab, your plasma donations are critical to helping people in need.

Your Safety is Our Priority

Each BioLife center is equipped with trained professionals who monitor and regulate the entire donation process from start to finish. Health checks are conducted at every visit, giving each donor confidence and peace of mind before each donation is made.

We provide a safe and clean environment in every center.

Every donation center follows rigorous cleaning protocols and is certified through regular inspections by major health authorities.

  • Employees wear protective gear, including gloves, face shields, and lab coats.
  • Employees follow procedures that minimize the opportunity for contact with blood or plasma.
  • All collection equipment that comes into contact with your blood or plasma is used only one time and is discarded after each use.
  • Non-disposable equipment and surfaces are cleaned and decontaminated with virus-killing disinfectants.

What you can do to help:

  • Donate when you feel well.
  • Cover any scrapes or scratches on your exposed skin before donating.

Safety is important to us.

We work with our parent company, Takeda, to make sure the plasma you donate at BioLife is safe to use to make life-changing medicines.

We test every donation

We test samples from each donation for signs of viral infections. This helps to make sure the plasma is safe for patients.

We remove impurities

We have steps in our manufacturing process that remove any impurities, like viruses, from the plasma. This makes the plasma even safer.

We want you to be confident that donating plasma is safe and will help people who need it.
